Ludacris And His Daughter Produce Netflix Series With Hopes To Empower Young Black Girls – Video

Chris Bridges, fondly called Ludacris is already a well known rapper, composer and of course an actor. As if all this was not enough, Ludacris is now all set to produce animated series. The series is inspired true life experiences of his eldest daughter Karma Bridges and is titled “Karma’s World”. The series is said to be h-it on Netflix pretty soon. The series is about an ambitious young girl, “Karma Grant” who is an aspiring rapper and music artist blessed with talent and a beautiful heart.

Ludacris told to BLACKPRINT “It’s the story of my oldest daughter [Karma Bridges], who is now 20.” “She was 6 years old, and she used to come into my home studio and say that she wanted to rap. And I had to sit her down and say, ‘If you want to do music, you have to talk about what goes on in your life, in your world because daddy talks about what goes on in his life.” He further said “What better way than to voice a dad for a girl on an animated show?”

Ludacris says that the conversation with his daughter Karma inspired her. He further said the songs in the series are around self confidence and self empowerment. The series is said to be of 40 episodes with each episode having an 11 minute screen-time. Bridge further said that series will also have some scenes that will depict the childhood of his daughter. The series has its music score done by Ludacris himself together with James Bennett Jr. and produced by Gerald Keys.

The music has minute details of issues young kids have like friendship, self esteem and discrimination. The series will depict real life incidents like how karma had to deal with other teasing her about her name, her hair etc. Ludacris hopes that series will inspire and empower young girls. Karma’s World is partnered with 9 Story Media Group, Emmy Award winners Creative Affairs Group and Oscar nominated Brown Bag Films. Ludacris says “I’ve had a lot of accomplishments in my life, but everything that I’ve experienced seems to have led up to this point to where I can leave a legacy for all my daughters.” Bridges told to time limit “Karma’s World is one of those legacies. I hope this series will show kids that there are many ways to overcome difficult Ludacris says.
